Subcontracts Administrator (Senior-Level)

Job Description:


Cimarron and Amentum are seeking a senior-level Subcontracts Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

This is a hybrid position that will allow up to 3 days per week of remote (i.e., work-from-home) support!

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of high-value, complex subcontracts in compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Determine appropriate solicitation methods and contract types and serve as a business advisor to task order teams.
  • Conduct market research and analyze subcontractor proposals, including cost and price evaluations.
  • Negotiate subcontract scope, schedule, and terms and conditions and serve as the primary point of contact with subcontractors.
  • Monitor subcontract performance and prepare modifications, amendments, and extensions as needed.
  • Establish and administer subcontracting vehicles such as MSAs and BOAs.
  • Develop subcontract requirement documents with clearly defined objectives, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Ensure subcontract execution aligns with statements of work, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate subcontract files and documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Provide dispute resolution support and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.



Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • 10 or more years of general, full-time work experience.
  • 5 or more years of directly related experience in government contracting.
  • Demonstrated recent experience managing contracts and/or subcontracts in compliance with FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Working knowledge of multiple contract types, including IDIQ, CPIF, time-and-materials, and firm-fixed-price contracts, with the ability to interpret and apply federal regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to perform tasks successfully with minimal guidance, often under tight timelines, while managing shifting priorities.
  • Highly responsive, flexible, and organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and assess contractual risks and apply that understanding during subcontract negotiations.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Experience developing contract and/or subcontract requirements with limited or no prior acquisition history.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing process improvements and new processes for contract and/or subcontract management portfolios.
