Job Summary
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for investigation and recovery? Olympus Insurance Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Subrogation Adjuster to join our Claims team. In this role, you will take ownership of the subrogation process - from initial investigation to resolution - ensuring recovery of losses through negotiation, litigation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of first-party property damage claims to identify subrogation potential
- Analyze liability, assess damages, and determine appropriate subrogation strategies
- Engage with policyholders, attorneys, contractors, and other carriers to gather information and negotiate outcomes
- Recommend litigation when appropriate and coordinate closely with legal counsel through trial or mediation
- Draft and issue key communications such as settlement demands and notices of intent
- Maintain complete and compliant documentation throughout the claim lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maximize recovery value and claim resolution efficiency
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum of 2 years in property & casualty claims adjusting or subrogation
Skills Required
- Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation abilities
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Project management fundamentals and a data-driven approach
Skills Preferred
- Leadership experience in mentoring and guiding team members
- Experience with litigation support and mediation processes
- Familiarity with subrogation in a catastrophe or large-loss setting
