JGH Legal is seeking a detail-oriented Subrogation Claims Specialist to support our subrogation recovery operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience with subrogation claims, insurance claims investigation, workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims, or third-party liability cases.

In this role, you will manage the intake, investigation, and coordination of subrogation claims on behalf of our clients. You will communicate with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and plan members to gather claim information, verify case status, and ensure cases progress toward recovery.

This position is ideal for professionals with insurance claims, liability investigation, or subrogation experience (paralegals and former adjusters encouraged to apply).

Key Responsibilities

Case Intake & Setup

Open and process new subrogation referrals received from clients
Confirm plan type and coverage details
Create claim itemizations and establish case documentation
Send Notices of Representation to attorneys, adjusters, or insured parties

Claims Investigation

Review claim records, correspondence, and documentation to determine recovery potential
Identify claims involving Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), Workers’ Compensation, or Third-Party Liability
Determine whether first-party benefits may apply
Conduct outreach to attorneys, adjusters, and plan members to obtain claim status and documentation

Case Management & Follow-Up

Manage case follow-ups and maintain regular outreach until required information is obtained
Respond to requests for itemizations and settlement information
Provide case status updates to clients and internal stakeholders
Track case activity and maintain accurate documentation across multiple systems

Documentation & Reporting

Cross-reference claim information across claims and legal systems
Review first-party payment ledgers and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Maintain organized case files and upload documentation for client visibility

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in subrogation, personal injury, insurance claims, claims investigation, or related claims management roles
Hands-on experience reviewing claim documentation such as payment ledgers, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), police reports, medical bills, or settlement correspondence
Experience communicating with insurance adjusters, attorneys, or third-party administrators regarding claim status or liability
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
Ability to work across multiple systems and databases

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Workers’ Compensation, or Third-Party Liability claims
Familiarity with subrogation processes or insurance recovery
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Insurance, or related field
Experience with claims management or legal case management software
