Substation Automation Engineer

Our client, a global engineering technology company in Qatar, is seeking to recruit top talent for the following role.

Position: SCS Engineer.

Experience: 5 year Plus, Kharamma experience preferred.

Duration: 12 months extendable

Working hrs.: 6 days 10hrs incl OT

Location: Doha and suburbs

Salary: 12,000-16,000.00 QAR All inclusive

Job Description:

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in SICAM PAS and SICAM SCC technologies. Candidates with KM Approval experience are highly preferred. The role requires working experience with Kahramaa, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing client for SICAM PAS & WinCC based Substation Automation Systems site acceptance testing with Consultant or Customer representative.
• Planning site tests, coordinating with site team for optimization of testing schedule
• Configuration of SICAM PAS, SICAM PQ Collector & Analyzer, WINCC/SCC (including VB and C scripting), PCs, cyber security, switches, firewalls, GPS receiver with SNTP se
• Troubleshooting
• Testing scope includes:
• · Panel installation and setup verification, fiber optic connections, bill of materials, red markups if necessary
• · HMI graphics using approved display samples and substation single line diagram
• · Measurements in multiple HMI displays and test formats
• · Switchgear and Protection signals
• · Interlocking and Synchrocheck
• · Automatic Voltage Regulator
• · Substation Common Alarms (MEP, Auxiliary systems, SCS system alarms)
• · Automation system functional acceptance test
• · Control Center integration

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Substation Automation Systems
• Strong hands-on experience with SICAM PAS & WinCC (SCC)
• Good understanding of IEC 61850, OPC, SoftPLC, IEC60870-5-104, SNMP, and Ruggedcom switches
• Good communication skills in English
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced site environment

Pay: QAR12,000.00 - QAR16,000.00 per month
