Substation Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & DocumentsEnsure deliveries are aligned to Project ScheduleSeek and obtain spatial requirements and details of cut-outs and openings from theDesign Lead (Secondary) and incorporate into relevant DrawingsReview primary drawings by Design Engineers & Draughtspersons & checking ofdesign & sizing calculations of primary engineering electrical equipment and obtainingapprovals from the clientReview of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Primary EngineeringCapable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on timeEstimate and Plan man-hour requirementsReview BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarificationsCoordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checksProvide support & clarifications to the Site Execution teamCheck pre-award evaluation of vendors (w.r.t. technical specifications requirement ofthe client) and forward the validation document to Supply Chain ManagementInspect equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation documentof the vendorClarify issues w.r.t. the design & requirements of the client to the Site Execution TeamCollect inputs for project details (plot details, feeder arrangements etc.) from client &Project Engineering ManagerSensitivity: LNT Construction Internal UseCoordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtainingapprovalCollect inputs for project details (General Arrangement Drawings) from VendorsCheck deliverables such as Equipment layouts, Cable Routing Layout, Cable TrayLayout, Earthing Layout, lighting Layout, Lightning Protection LayoutProvide support to secondary team for reviewing Vendor drawingsSubmit requirement of man-hours for undertaking & reviewing of design & drawingsof the projectTechnical ExpertiseThe Design Lead (Primary) is required to have an overall knowledge of equipment layouts andnecessary calculations.The Design Lead (Primary) should also have detailed knowledge of Substation equipment andtheir Layouts. Furthermore, she / he should have the understanding of primary engineeringactivities covering SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting,Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing etc. He should be capable of performing design &sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, DG, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, calculations(Short circuit force, Sag tension, CCC etc.). The Design Lead (Primary) is required to haveknowledge on National and International Codes and Standards.The Design Lead (Primary) is required to understand and interpret the contractual technicalrequirements and facilitate the Project Teams as and when required.In addition, the Design Lead (Primary) should also have an overall understanding of the inter-disciplinary (Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Instrumentation) design aspects of electricalequipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼15,000.00 - ﷼20,000.00 per month
