Substitute Lead Preschool Teacher

```Duties:```
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for preschool children
- Create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction and cooperation
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a comprehensive educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones

```Requirements:```
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred

-Set schedule 7:30am-3pm (hours may vary)

Jackson Heights Christian Academy is a faith-based childcare center and school that takes educating children to heart. With over 20 years of experience, JHCA is looking to hire someone that is energetic, excited, enthusiastic, and creative. The ideal candidate must be caring, patient, and have a love for children. He or she must understand the stages of child development and have the ability to adapt the teaching style to match the appropriate level. Working hours will vary on a weekly basis, however, the workweek includes Monday - Friday. This position REQUIRES state-approved credentials. You must have a CDA (Child Development Associate), TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit), TCD (Technical College Diploma), a degree in early childhood education, or a combination of any of these listed. Each credential must fall under early childhood education or child development. No exceptions are allowed. Experience is a plus but not mandatory as training is provided.
