Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and the ability to adapt to various classroom settings. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining the continuity of education in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that all students understand the material.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Facilitate student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Provide support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any incidents that occur during class.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with autism and other developmental challenges.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Proficient in teaching methodologies, particularly in early childhood education.
- Effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children in various educational settings, including private schools and special education environments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math instruction, Montessori methods, and preschool experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and tutoring practices.

- Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree level in Education or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience teaching in British Curriculum schools (Primary level).
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal skills.
- Specialization in one of the followings fields: Mathematics
- Previous experience organizing school activities and extra-curricular activities and forming and supervising school clubs.
- Currently in Doha, Qatar

Pay: QAR1,000.00 - QAR1,300.00 per month
