The Arc of Chester County is a non-profit organization with the mission to advocate, educate and provide services to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to enhance the quality of their lives. We have been providing quality supports to the West Chester community for 70 years! Come join our pre-school team, where you can have fun with the children while also having a positive impact on their early development.
Position Summary:
- Assist classroom teacher as directed in daily routines, small group and individual activities.
- Work as part of a team (with children, families, professional and coworkers) to create the best learning environment possible for each child
- Be energetic, creative and enthusiastic about working with our children!
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Abuse, PA Criminal & FBI clearance (The Arc will pay for clearances)
- Physician's certificate of good health.
- Ability to lift and position children up to a weight of 50 pounds.
- Two years of experience working with young children; experience with working with children with special needs preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on experience
