Substitute Teacher

Telluride School District is looking for on call, part time, and permanent substitutes.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
All candidates will need to submit fingerprinting.
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Substitute Certificate

Salary:

• $160/day for non-certified teacher subs holding a valid Substitute Teaching authorization
• $180/day for certified teacher subs holding a valid Teaching License or a Five Year Substitute Teacher authorization which is only available to prior certified teachers.

Substitutes that work more than thirty days in the school year will receive a $15/day increase starting on their 31st day.

Responsibilities include:

• Ability to follow directions left by classroom teacher
• Ability to think on their feet and work in a collaborative manner to engage children and manage behaviors in the classroom
• Caring person who wants to see the youth of the day challenged and provided unique opportunities for growth and learning
• Life experiences that can lend themselves to educating our children.
• Ability to use technology
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $160.00 - $195.00 per day
