Substitute Teacher

Cambridge Montessori School, a well established Montessori school in Sugar Land, is seeking passionate, dedicated, and inspiring Long term Substitute Teacher for our Toddler classroom working with ages 12-24 months old. The hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

No formal Montessori training is needed to apply, the school will provide training to substitutes.

This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation.

The Substitute Teacher role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Cambridge Montessori. Many of our substitutes ultimately transition into full-time Assistant or Lead Teachers with us when new openings become available. Experience and Skills:

1. Individuals applying must have some teaching experience in a licensed preschool or child development center. We are also considering current students pursuing a certification or degree in early childhood education, child development, or other relevant major.

2. Must be passionate about the growth and development of the children.

3. Exhibits strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

4. Stays flexible and willing to work with all age groups.

School Description: Cambridge Montessori School (CMS) is a private Montessori school located in New Territory, Sugar Land. We have been established since 1997. Our objective at CMS is to create an atmosphere that promotes a love of learning and to educate children to be caring, socially responsible citizens of their community and the world.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
