Summary

We are currently seeking an On-Call Substitute Teacher to join our dedicated team at South Hills Academy. This role plays a vital part in maintaining continuity in instruction and upholding our commitment to academic excellence when regular teachers are absent.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for education. You will be expected to follow lesson plans, engage students in meaningful learning activities, and support the diverse needs of our student body.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage classrooms effectively
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Adapt to various grade levels and subjects as needed
• Maintain student safety, order, and engagement
• Communicate effectively with school staff and administration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred
• Flexibility and availability on short notice
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required
• Medical Clearance
