Substitute Teacher at Private Christian School

Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing quality education and support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is a flexible position that offers the chance to work with diverse student populations and gain valuable teaching experience.

Duties:

- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the absent teacher

- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students

- Implement classroom management strategies to ensure student engagement and behavior

- Deliver instruction in various subjects and grade levels

- Provide individualized support to students with special needs or learning challenges

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction

- Assess student progress and provide feedback as needed

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and grades

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Skills:

- Experience working with children or students in an educational setting

- Knowledge of literacy education and curriculum development

- Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and productive learning environment

- Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching styles, grade levels, and subjects

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred)

- Valid teaching certification (preferred)

- Experience as a substitute teacher or in a similar role (preferred)

- Flexibility to work on short notice
