Job Summary

The Office is currently seeking three Summer 2026 Undergraduate Interns to join the Mondale-Humphrey Scholars program. This program is designed to introduce undergraduate students to state service and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. We are seeking students with all types of majors and school or career goals. This opportunity is particularly suited for students who are not currently on a pre-law track or pursuing law school, as the work is designed to support broader exposure to public service and state government. Law students should seek out and apply for the Law Clerk program. Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with both legal and non-legal professionals supporting the mission of our Office.

This posting is for a 10-12 week Summer session, beginning in June 2026. Interns will receive a salary of $20 per hour and are expected to work 10-30 hours per week.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment (combination of in-office work and telework).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student in good standing with an accredited post-secondary school
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills (a cover letter is required to be included with application submission)
  • Ability to:
    • Excel in an inclusive, creative, and collaborative work environment
    • Show excellent judgement, character, and work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move and transport such articles as files, laptop computer and resource materials weighing up to 20 pounds
