Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and rewarding summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, supervising campers, and ensuring their well-being while fostering their personal growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate programs that promote learning through play, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures.
• Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills, teamwork, and self-confidence.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to foster a positive camp community.
• Assist with first aid as needed and ensure the health and safety of all campers.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in childcare, classroom management, and special education techniques.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, or educational environments is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
• Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus; certification may be required.
• Background in sports coaching or theater is beneficial for leading engaging activities.
• Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
• A passion for educating and inspiring young minds through creative programming.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability are essential traits for success in this role.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
