Summer Camp Counselor

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have experience in various educational or recreational settings. The position would begin May 21, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and events.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational programs.
• Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers.
• Monitor camper behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure the safety of all participants.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive camp experience.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experiences:

• Previous experience working with children in a camp setting or similar environments such as babysitting or tutoring.
• Knowledge of first aid practices; certification is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with special education techniques or behavior management strategies is a plus.
• Background in theater or arts can enhance the camp's creative programming.
• Strong classroom management skills to ensure a productive learning environment.
• A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting students in their personal growth.
