Duties

• Lead and supervise groups of children in various camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Implement age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater performances, and educational lessons that promote childhood development
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a positive environment
• Assist with daily camp routines including check-in/check-out procedures, snack time, and rest periods
• Provide first aid when necessary and maintain health and safety standards according to camp policies
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by applying inclusive teaching strategies
• Foster teamwork, social skills, and Christian counseling principles to nurture character development and community spirit

Qualifications

* MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to effectively work with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to engage children through sports coaching, theater activities, or other creative outlets
• Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for working with kids and fostering their growth
