Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging environment for campers. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience working with students and the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts
- Assist campers with educational activities and provide tutoring when needed
- Manage camper behavior using effective behavior management techniques
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all campers
- Collaborate with other counselors to create and implement daily schedules
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and concerns
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of camp facilities

Skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to manage a classroom or group of children effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children of all ages
- Special education or tutoring experience is a plus
- Theater or performing arts background is beneficial
