Summer Camp Teacher

We are seeking energetic and passionate Summer Camp Teachers to join our team! In this role, you will create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during summer camp sessions. Your enthusiasm for working with children, combined with your creativity and leadership skills, will inspire young learners and help them develop socially, emotionally, and academically through a variety of activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and educational games to promote childhood development.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques.
• Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and implementing first aid procedures when necessary.
• Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying inclusive teaching strategies and collaborating with specialists when appropriate.
• Foster a nurturing environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and confidence among campers.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and experiences during camp.
• Maintain organized activity areas, follow daily schedules, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds.
• Enthusiasm for outdoor activities, and field trips.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
