Summer Camp Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games to ensure an engaging experience for all children.
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper supervision techniques and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions.
• Provide first aid when necessary, responding promptly to minor injuries or health concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by adapting activities and providing individualized attention.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules, coordinate group activities, and ensure smooth camp operations.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise during camp sessions.
• Follow state licensing guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in educational settings, daycare, or camp environments is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
• Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching, tutoring, sports coaching, or babysitting roles.
• Knowledge of early childhood education practices and experience working with diverse groups of children.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive camp atmosphere.
