Position Summary
The Pingry School seeks a highly organized, detail-driven, and mission-aligned professional to serve as Summer Employment Operations Manager. This seasonal leadership role (approximately May 1–September 15, with full-time responsibilities during peak summer operations) serves as the operational bridge between the Human Resources department and Pingry’s Summer Auxiliary Programs.
This position sits at the intersection of compliance, employment operations, and youth workforce management. The Summer Employment Operations Manager ensures that every seasonal employee, from first-time student counselors to experienced program leaders, is fully onboarded, properly credentialed, trained, and accurately compensated. In doing so, the role protects institutional safety, financial integrity, and the smooth execution of the summer experience.
The successful candidate understands that summer employment operations are not merely administrative; they are foundational to trust, safety, and the daily experience of campers, families, and staff.

Qualifications
This is a seasonal role requiring a ramp-up period in April and May, moving to near full-time hours during the peak months of June, July, and August. Frequent travel between Basking Ridge, Short Hills, and Pottersville campus locations is required to conduct on-site audits and provide in-person support to camp staff.

This is a seasonal contract position (approximately May 1 – September 15) with a consistent schedule of 35–40 hours per week. Compensation range: $12,000 – $20,000, commensurate with experience in high-volume seasonal workforce operations. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and education.
