As an Electrical Engineering Intern, first you learn about different electrical systems on Pathfinder 1 (P1). After learning about the systems, you will focus on a specific part of a system to improve its reliability and robustness which is crucial to our flight mission. In this position, you should be able to learn how the existing systems operate, work with the team to determine potential weak points, and then come up with a proposed plan to improve an electrical system efficiency and reliability. This position prefers an experienced student with a strong interest in project ownership and hands-on work in the lab .
- Reading electrical drawings and documents to get familiar with electrical systems on P1

Collaborating with senior electrical engineers to learn how to maintain existing system on P1 and also improve their performance

Going through the design process, prototyping and testing in the lab to examine the proposed system performance

Pursuing an electrical engineering degree

Good verbal and written communication skillse

CAD experience (preferably Altium)

Familiar with different lab tools such as programmable power supplies, oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzers

Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations

Being familiar with different communication protocols

Embedded programming in C
