W.B. Guimarin & Co., Inc., a leading mechanical contractor serving South Carolina for more than 100 years, is seeking a motivated and organized Summer Administrative Assistant to support our Service and Construction Operations teams.
This position offers valuable hands-on experience for individuals interested in business administration, customer service, construction operations, project management, or office administration.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate department
- Greet and assist visitors, customers, vendors, and applicants arriving at the office
- Provide administrative support to customers, field employees, project teams, and office staff
- Create, update, reconcile, and maintain purchase orders for Service Operations and Project Teams
- Communicate with vendors regarding material orders, deliveries, and parts availability
- Support Service Department Managers, Dispatch, and Contract Administration as needed
- Assist with filing, data entry, document management, and other office tasks
- Help maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication between departments
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college, university, or technical school
- Previous office, receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
