Summer Pet Sitters Needed

Job Overview:

Walk ATX is seeking a dedicated Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional care for pets in their owners' absence. This is a part time job opportunity, perfect for college students looking for some summer work or an individual who has another remote job with a flexible schedule.

We offer overnight stays in the clients home from 9pm-8pm as well as 30 minute drop in visits throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and compassionate care for pets including feeding, walking, and grooming
• Administer medications as needed and ensure pets' health and safety
• Engage pets in playtime and exercise routines
• Maintain cleanliness of pet areas and ensure a hygienic environment
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' well-being

Qualifications:

• Experience in handling various animals, especially dogs and cats
• Knowledge of basic animal care practices and techniques
• Ability to lift heavy objects if necessary
• Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
• Familiarity with veterinary procedures or background as a veterinary assistant is a plus
• Passion for pet care and willingness to learn about different animal behaviors
• Must live within our service area (we only service Austin)

Requirements:

• Be available through the summer months to cover pet sitting trips especially on weekends
• Have reliable transportation
• Clean background check
• Be able to self manage
• Willing to stay at a clients home overnight
• Strong attention to detail and the drive to go above and beyond

Pay:

Sitters are paid per service starting at $15/30 minute visit and $80 for overnight stays. There are opportunities to take on more services during the day if availability allows. Clients are able to tip their sitters and sitters receive all the tip money.
