We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Summer School Age Teacher to join our team for our summer program. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for school aged children through hands-on activities, outdoor play and age appropriate learning experiences. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, feels confident and willing to work independently, values teamwork, and understands the importance of relationship-based care.

Job Duties:

- Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities

- Supervise up to 15 school aged children to ensure safety and well-being

-Support social-emotional development through positive guidance and clear expectations

-Must be comfortable being outdoors in all types of summer weather unless conditions are unsafe

-Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming classroom and program space

-Build positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and leadership

-Follow all MN licensing regulations, center policies, and safety procedures

- Communicate effectively with families and staff

Requirements:

- Must be teacher qualified under MN DCYF Rule 3

- Experience working with school-age preferred

-Strong communication and organizational skills

-Ability to meet physical demands of the position (outdoor play, standing, lifting as required)

-Must pass MN background study

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
