STEM Facilitator | Sunrise of Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA | $20/hour | 30+ hrs/week | Summer 2026

Do you enjoy robotics, coding, science experiments, or working with youth?
Join Sunrise of Philadelphia as a STEM Facilitator and lead engaging, hands-on learning experiences for students in grades K–6.
What You’ll Do
- Teach Sphero Robotics (coding + problem-solving)
- Facilitate Science in the Summer™ in partnership with The Franklin Institute
- Lead fun, interactive STEM activities that spark curiosity and confidence
- Mentor students and help them explore future STEM careers
Summer Commitment
- Program Dates: June 15 – July 31, 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 30+ hours/week
Required Training (In-Person – The Franklin Institute)
Candidates must be available for ONE option in each category below:
Facilitation Training (choose one):
- May 6, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
- May 7, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
- June 13, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
Curriculum Content Training (choose one):
- May 28, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
- June 3, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
- June 4, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
- June 18, 2026 (9:30am–1:00pm)
OR Combined Training Option:
- June 13, 2026 (9:30am–4:30pm)
- Additional 2-hour Sphero Robotics training with Sunrise
Ideal Candidates
- STEM majors (Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
- Education majors or aspiring teachers
- Experience working with youth (camp, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
- Passion for making STEM accessible and engaging

Pay: $20.00 per hour
