Summer Stocker, Delivery and Retail Clerk

*An established family-owned beer superstore, located in downtown Tunkhannock*

This position requires a person who excels at providing “face to face” customer service and handles work responsibly. Primary duties include making off-site delivery of kegs down flights of stairs and stocking of in-store kegs/pallets of beer, which requires one to be willing and capable of hand-stocking cases of beer and using a pallet jack regularly throughout the shift. THIS IS NOT A CASHIER ONLY POSITION. Forklift operation will also be necessary (we will train). This opportunity is perfect for someone who has the following personal traits:

The work schedule is expected to include 25-35 hours each week of the summer, including evenings and weekends. (Job can start at fewer hours a week to accommodate the final weeks of school if necessary for the candidate.) Weekend work is mandatory. Compensation will be paid at a highly competitive hourly rate. Currently, no health benefits are available. Unpaid time off is offered given advance notice. However, extended time off between Memorial Day and Labor Day cannot be approved.

Daily responsibilities will involve loading deliveries, receiving deliveries, stocking inventory, carrying inventory, sales and customer service duties such as answering phones, and greeting & assisting customers. A few shifts each week will consist mostly of repetitive heavy lifting.

Experience:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift fifty (50) pounds regularly throughout the shift.
• Prior experience in a warehouse or specialty retail store, grocery store, etc a plus.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must not have a felony. A PA State Police background check will apply for job offer.
• Must live a drug free lifestyle. WE WILL CONDUCT DRUG TESTING.
• Experience operating a propane forklift is preferred, not required.
• Must present a PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE, no face piercings or gauges as per dress code.
• Presents a professional and courteous tone when speaking, whether in person or over the phone.
• Must be comfortable working efficiently and independently when owners are away.
