SUPERINTENDENT (C&A)

The main purpose of the Superintendent role is overseeing the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion (also known as packages), provide technical advice and to supervise site staff & manpower and Subcontractors activities on site to ensure that their packages are completed on time and within budget.

• Manage and control his part of the site progress of the project in order to meet objectives
• Conduct the affairs of the team with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
• Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across all function’s employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices
• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work
• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
• Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the site
• Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team
• Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
• Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
• Review the approved shop drawings, specifications
• Meet the company’s internal policies & procedures by being active and dynamic team player
• Get the best productivity from his team and resources in order to meet target on time and within budget
• Having good communication with other construction departments
• Inform the readiness for “Work Inspection Requests” to Consultant/ Engineer
• Having full awareness of company QHSE plan’s implementation on site.

• 10 years’ experience in construction field
• Good skills in spoken and written English on top of his native language
• Technical Degree in Civil, /or Architecture
• Knowledge in construction management.
• Knowledge in QA/QC management.
• Knowledge in risk management.
• Proficient in HSE management.
