Position Summary
Departures Aviation is seeking a hands-on Cabin Appearance Supervisor to help lead our growing SFO team. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards for aircraft cleanliness, team coordination, and on-time performance. The ideal candidate brings prior supervisory experience in an airport environment and is comfortable managing teams in a fast-paced, safety-critical operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise cabin appearance crews to ensure timely and high-quality aircraft cleaning
- Conduct quality control checks and safety observations throughout the shift
- Enforce compliance with all airline, airport, OSHA, and company standards
- Assist with scheduling, training, timekeeping, and performance tracking
- Serve as the on-duty point of contact for airline partners and internal leadership
- Ensure all equipment is operational, safe, and properly stocked
- Provide on-the-job coaching and corrective guidance to frontline team members
- Complete shift reports, delay logs, and incident documentation accurately
- Support onboarding and safety training for new hires
- Foster a respectful, safety-minded, and high-performance team culture
Qualifications
- 1+ year of prior experience in a supervisor, team lead, or similar leadership role
- Prior experience in airport ground handling, aircraft appearance, or ramp services preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse hourly workforce
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass SFO background check and obtain a SIDA badge
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- This role requires schedule flexibility, including availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor airport environments, sometimes in inclement weather.
