Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supervisor of Electrical Wiring to lead our electrical assembly teams in delivering high-quality, reliable wiring solutions for complex electronic systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the entire wiring process, ensure adherence to industry standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical wiring operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently according to project specifications.
- We assemble large industrial systems at our facility then install across North America so travel is required.
- Review and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to guide assembly processes.
- Oversee the installation of electrical wiring on PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), surface mount technology components, and other electronic assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies, maintaining high-quality soldering and wiring practices.
- Coordinate the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement devices to verify wiring integrity and mechanical fit.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for soldering, wiring techniques, mechanical assembly, and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of workstations to uphold safety standards and quality control measures across all wiring activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics, troubleshoot electrical issues, and implement process improvements for manufacturing efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience supervising electrical wiring or electronic assembly teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PCB design principles, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and surface mount technology (SMT).
- Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and soldering techniques.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installation, schematic interpretation, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and machining equipment to support assembly tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot issues effectively.
