The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and coordinates housekeeping activities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff
- Inspect rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping personnel
- Assign work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and hygiene standards
- Address guest or client complaints professionally and promptly
- Collaborate with management to implement housekeeping policies and procedures
- Prepare reports on staff performance, inventory, and maintenance needs
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma in hospitality or related field preferred
- 2+ years of housekeeping experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
- Familiarity with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
