Supervisor - MALE ONLY

Position Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities within the plant yard area, including the safe and efficient reception, movement, storage, and dispatch of hazardous and medical waste. This role ensures strict compliance with environmental regulations, safety protocols, and plant operational procedures while coordinating with transport, weighing station, and incineration/processing units.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Control

• Supervise all yard operations, including waste reception, segregation checks, storage, and loading/unloading activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and recording of incoming/outgoing waste (weight tickets, manifests, tracking in WDS/NAFITH or equivalent systems).
• Monitor waste containers, storage areas, and transfer operations to prevent cross-contamination or unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with the control room, transport supervisors, and incinerator/autoclave operators for smooth waste flow.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce adherence to UAE regulations, Dubai Municipality requirements, and company SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, including use of PPE, fire prevention, spill response, and emergency procedures.
• Inspect vehicles entering/exiting the facility for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.

Staff Supervision

• Lead and supervise yard staff, including loaders, forklift/drum handlers, and weighbridge operators.
• Assign daily duties, monitor performance, and provide training in safe waste handling.
• Coordinate shift handovers and ensure continuous coverage during 24-hour operations.

Equipment & Infrastructure

• Oversee yard equipment (forklifts, drum lifters, compactors, weighbridge, etc.) ensuring they are operated safely and maintained properly.
• Report breakdowns, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure backup availability.
• Monitor yard lighting, fencing, drainage, and cleanliness.

Emergency Response

• Act as the first point of command in yard incidents (spills, fire, accidents).
• Coordinate containment, isolation, and reporting measures as per the plant Emergency Response Plan.
• Maintain spill kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment in ready condition.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Operations, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hazardous waste, ETP, oil treatment, or industrial yard management.
• Knowledge of UAE waste management regulations, WDS/NAFITH systems, and hazardous materials handling.
• Strong supervisory and coordination skills in 24/7 industrial environments.
• Valid UAE driver’s license and forklift operation certification (an advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
