SUMMARY

The Lead Certified Peer Support Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned employees. This position will provide billable expectations as requested and/or needed for the program by performing the following duties.

Peer Support is a program that provides individualized recovery-focused intervention to adults to enhance development of natural supports, coping mechanisms and other skills necessary to function as independently as possible in the community. Service is provided by certified individuals with a lived experience with mental health issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1) A bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education or a related field from a program that is accredited by an agency recognized by the USDOE or the CHEA, or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university approved by the USDOE with two years of mental health direct service experience that may include PSS and completion of the Certified Peer Support Supervisory training; or

2) Have a high school diploma or GED with four years of mental health direct service experience that may include Peer Support Service; and completion of the Certified Peer Support Supervisory training.

3) Be working towards advanced training in at least one of the Certified Peer Support specific models (Forensics, Older Adults, Substance Use, etc.)

About Us
