Supervisor / Stock Keeper

The Stockkeeper is responsible for managing the parts inventory of the auto garage, ensuring that automotive parts, tools, and supplies are accurately received, stored, issued, and recorded. This role combines hands-on parts management with precise data entry to keep inventory systems up to date and support efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Automotive Parts & Inventory Management

  • Purchase/Receive and inspect incoming auto parts, accessories, tools, and workshop supplies.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report missing or incorrect items.
  • Organize and label parts in designated storage areas for easy retrieval.
  • Maintain proper stock levels of frequently used parts.
  • Issue parts to mechanics and record usage promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor stock for damaged items

Record Keeping

  • Enter all stock transactions into the garage’s inventory management system.
  • Update records for parts received, issued, returned, or transferred.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of stock levels for job cards and service orders.
  • Generate regular inventory and usage reports for the workshop manager.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate with suppliers for returns, replacements, or parts requests.
  • Coordinate with the management in receiving and releasing cars in the garage.
  • Assist the management with parts availability information.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized parts room.
  • Follow proper safety guidelines for storing automotive chemicals and lubricants.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in an auto garage, spare parts shop, or warehouse is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts is highly preferred.
  • UAE Driving License is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong data entry accuracy and basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems).
  • Good knowledge of tools and common automotive components.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items as needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
