We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Supplier Approval Coordinator to join at our ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm
Job Summary:
The Supplier Approval Coordinator will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to gather technical documents and information for the supplier approval process. This position has the ultimate responsibility in working with the internal teams, suppliers and customers in maintaining the supplier quality management database, technical documents, an approved supplier database and raw ingredient risk analysis results.
Essential Functions/Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Act as key liaison for high profile clients. Manage supplier approval process in coordination with NPI and specific needs of the client.

Work collaboratively with the internal teams, suppliers and customers to gather technical documents / info. for the supplier approval process.

Maintain supplier quality management database including approval trackers, technical documents, approved supplier database, raw ingredient risk analysis results, etc.

Serve as the raw material technical liaison for the internal teams, suppliers and customers.

Maintain updates in TraceGains, FLASH, and Documents and Ingredients folder.

Work on special assignments / projects as assigned by Director of Supplier Approval or Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or AA degree or relevant work experience.
-
Able to read / understand technical documents.
-
Proficient in MS Office programs. Database management experience.

Exhibits both strong independent and critical thinking abilities.

Concise verbal and written communication skills.
-
A team player and can work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
-
Highly organized, detailed oriented, able to manage and prioritize multiple demands as well as work under deadlines.

Professional and tenacious in getting the work done right.
Preferred Experience / Skills / Certifications
-
2-3 years of FDA and/or USDA food / beverage manufacturing R&D and/or QA & QC experience

Basic understanding of food ingredients and packaging.

HACCP certified or equivalent.
-
FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food / PCQI certified. Ability and willingness to thrive and learn in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

Light level of physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include lifting binders and files, opening filing cabinets and bending, stooping as necessary, walking, standing and sitting at a workstation.

Significant level of mental / visual effort required to assure accuracy of information entered to PC.

Frequently required to stand, walk; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. On rare occasions may need to move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to see the letters and numbers on a PC screen and on paper documents (near vision, distance vision and ability to focus).
- Ability to talk to and hear persons contacted on the job; moderate hand coordination for the use of the PC keyboard.
