Supplier Development Engineers play a critical role in ensuring world-class quality across Husco’s supply base by designing and implementing effective quality control and inspection systems. They evaluate supplier design, assembly, and manufacturing processes to build and sustain long-term capability. Successful candidates are self-motivated problem solvers who thrive in fast-paced environment, respond well under pressure, and manage multiple priorities with confidence.
What You’ll be Doing:

New Product Introductions (NPI) and Launches: Work closely with external customers to successfully introduce new programs while minimizing customer issues. Take a leading role in new program development through active participation in Design and Process FMEA’s. Lead DPAR meetings for supplied components and assemblies during New Product Introductions and drive solution of all identified issues. Ensure all supplier PPAPs are accurate, complete, approved, and properly documented. Remain active in post NPI activities.

Develop Global Supply Base: Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to develop and manage a global supply base achieving target quality levels at or below expected cost. Conduct process and system audits for new and existing suppliers, including the development and management of probationary suppliers. Support smooth supplier technology transfers and identify and assist with internal and customer cost-reduction initiatives to the benefit of Husco.

Execute and Communicate Non-Conformances: Identify, understand, and communicate non-conformances per the NCR process. Complete root cause analysis in combination with supplier to ensure issues and extend of condition are addressed and resolved. Communicate supplier containment and certification of replacement parts.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience required. 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Knowledge of hydraulic valves, iron castings, machining operations, electrical components, and metal fabrication preferred.

Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational skills required.

Travel up to 40%, domestic and international; must have valid driver’s license for inter-plant travel and current passport for international travel.

Authorized to work in the United States.
