As we expand our global presence, we are seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen supplier performance and elevate product quality to world-class standards.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing supplier quality strategies to ensure the consistent delivery of products that meet or exceed Kanak Naturals’ standards. This position requires leadership in supplier audits, facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives, and assurance of compliance with international quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, proven expertise in supplier quality management, and the ability to foster strong collaborative partnerships throughout the organization.

• Plan, conduct, and report supplier quality system and process audits; develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
• Lead supplier quality initiatives to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other applicable standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes utilizing methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Cause & Effect.
• Track and analyze supplier performance metrics; implement risk mitigation strategies and quality improvement measures.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and production teams to align supplier capabilities with organizational requirements.
• Support supplier evaluation and onboarding processes, including quality system assessments and PPAP/FAI approvals.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, leveraging statistical process control and data analytics.
• Manage supplier complaints and quality notifications through ERP platforms (e.g., SAP or equivalent).
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to suppliers and internal teams on quality standards, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following skills and abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
• Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FAI, SPC, and other quality management methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with proven success in stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems is preferred.
