Position Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineering Intern supports the quality of externally sourced components and materials by performing quality-related tasks, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting inspection and supplier qualification activities. The position may also assist in conducting on-site supplier audits and assessments as needed. This is an onsite position at our Brooklyn Park, MN location.

This position reports to Global Supplier Quality Manager.

Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation for the summer internship program.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in analyzing inspection data for nonconforming products from external suppliers
  • Help review component drawings and qualification documents for accuracy
  • Support the maintenance of incoming inspection and other process documentation
  • Visit local vendors to assist with on-site quality assessments
  • Assist with Part Approval reviews (drawing reviews, inspection assignments)
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies to help improve inspection methods

Required

  • Pursuing an Engineering degree

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to GD&T, root cause analysis, or basic quality tools (Pareto, 5 Whys)

Pay Range: $21-$28

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
