We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager for our First Quality Home Care Products LLC facility located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of supplier quality management to ensure that raw materials, packaging, and externally manufactured products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role establishes and maintains supplier quality systems, manages supplier performance, and partners cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Manage the supplier qualification, approval, and onboarding process.
  • Conduct and oversee supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other applicable standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on supplier performance using scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action plans (CAPA) with suppliers.
  • Maintain approved supplier lists, material specifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and R&D to support business objectives related to cost, quality, and service.
  • Support incoming inspection programs and manage disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements (FDA, USDA, SQF/BRC, GFSI).
  • Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership during supplier-related escalations, investigations, and recalls.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data analyses for leadership review
Working Conditions
  • Position based in office and manufacturing environments.
  • Routine travel to suppliers and contract manufacturers (domestic), up to 30%.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Quality Management, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supply Chain in a CPG, food, or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality systems required.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and CAPA processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CSQP, CQA, or similar) preferred.
