Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist – Industrial Manufacturing

Location: Richfield, WI (On-site)
Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: ~$90,000 + Full Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to support purchasing activities for a busy industrial manufacturing environment. This role plays an essential part in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting production schedules through strong purchasing execution.

About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will manage end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, mechanical components, and electrical parts used in daily production. This position collaborates closely with operations, engineering, and planning teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase industrial raw materials, fabricated components, and mechanical/electrical parts
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Analyze production plans and generate accurate purchase orders
  • Track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and process RMAs
  • Identify alternative suppliers and support cost reduction efforts
  • Maintain accurate data within ERP/purchasing systems
  • Support production planning by communicating material availability
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to review purchasing priorities

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience sourcing industrial raw materials or mechanical/electrical components
  • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory control principles
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
  • Resides within a reasonable commute to Richfield, WI

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with steel, machining, metals, pumps, actuators, or similar categories
  • Background supporting production, fabrication, or OEM environments
  • Cost analysis or supplier qualification experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
