Supply Chain Coordinator duties and responsibilities as follows:

Supply Chain/Purchasing and Scheduling

  • Purchase Order Entry and Receipt for Lenni/Garnet Valley and backup support for Mayfield in the ERP system.
  • Prepare RFQs and submit them to suppliers as needed.
  • Monitor and Maintain the ASL (Approved Suppliers List) per QMS requirements.
  • Support Supplier onboarding process as needed.
  • Review and resolve Supplier Invoice discrepancies.
  • Purchase supplies as needed for all departments and/or provide the necessary administrative support to accomplish the task.
  • Monitor and process Quote requests as assigned through Salesforce.
  • Maintain relationships with Suppliers.
  • Review new customer orders daily to determine what is in stock and what needs to be manufactured.
  • Shop Order Entry for Lenni/Garnet Valley and backup support for Mayfield in the ERP system.
  • Update and manage weekly production schedules for Lenni and Garnet Valley on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with the Inside and Outside Sales Teams to provide commitments to our customers.
  • Support Operations to ensure timely processing of shop orders and schedule attainment.

Supply Chain/Inventory Management

  • Monitor Raw Material Inventory and report minimum stock levels to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Perform Cycle Counts on Raw Material and Finished Goods as required.
  • Create New item Numbers in the ERP system as required.
  • Collaborate with various departments/facilities to manage efficient flow of material.

Quality and Safety

  • Maintain ISO standards in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Production and Warehousing areas.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Department for Raw Material Testing and verification of product.
  • Monitor and maintain the ASL (Approved Supplier List) and Supplier Performance Review as required.
  • Report “near misses/accidents to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Maintain safe working environment throughout all facilities.
  • Wear all required PPE based on responsibilities and duties.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. as needed.
  • Report daily and weekly activity and problems/challenges to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Handle and be responsible for special projects as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure as much as possible his/her work environment follows the 5S methodology: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain and guarantee a safe work environment.
  • Provide feedback to the Supply Chain Manager as needed.
  • Ensure good dialogue within the team.
  • Encourage feedback from the Supply Chain Manager and the team as needed.
  • Ensure good written and verbal communication.
  • Interface with other departments and provide support as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge in Purchasing and Inventory Management
  • Basic working knowledge in Scheduling, Production Operations and Warehousing
  • Problem Solving – the ability to solve problems step by step; looking beyond obvious solutions to a problem/challenge and endeavoring to find the best solution.
  • Ability to look for process improvements in the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.

Computer technical software programs:

  • With internal software: Macola
  • With Microsoft pack: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Reading, analysis and interpretation of common industrial, manufacturing and technical procedures.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to prepare and organize daily tasks.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work on co-continuous projects, set priorities and meet deadlines timely on a consistent basis.
  • Solid analytic, organization and critical thinking skills which support and enable sound decision making.
  • Ability to maintain his/her work environment in cleanliness and tidy state (5S Methods).
  • Ability to respect all safety points in order to ensure your safety and the one of your colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing processes and methods (Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5C, 5S)
  • Ability to collaborate and interface with all other departments.
  • Ability to remain calm in adversity and lead by example.
  • Ability to communicate well with people at various levels; frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding their points of view.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, attentions to detail, analytical problem solving and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Maintain filing system for Purchasing and Shop Order Management.
  • Maintain office and kitchen supply inventory.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of office equipment.
  • Provide administrative support in all areas as requested.
  • Additional Duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent - required

3-5 years Business experience - required

1-2 years Purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment - required

Computer and Microsoft Office Experience - required

3-5 years Plastics Manufacturing environment experience - preferred

Lean Manufacturing Experience - preferred

ERP System Experience - preferred
