ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the process for identification and communication of potential supply chain excess and obsolete parts and materials resulting from business changes.
  • Lead estimation and aggregation of financial impacts for multi-part/multi-material changes and suggestions for alternative change dates that could minimize the financial impact of changes.
  • Ensures clear communication between Purchasing, Engineering, Product, Operations, and Finance on the timing and approval status for proposed engineering changes. This position works closely with the Purchasing department.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations into areas where the cost of change is higher than it should be and communication of issues and opportunities for improvement related to those root cause analysis investigations.
  • Assist with identifying and executing strategies to reduce existing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

ASSIST or LEAD THE FOLLOWING:
  • Reporting purchasing and supplier data to internal strategic partners (Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, Product, Operations, etc.) to assist in improvement opportunities.
  • Participating in special projects as needed.

TALENTS and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations, order scheduling and purchasing procedures, MRP systems and their processes, and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good MS Office/365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint/Teams).
  • Two or more years of supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.


EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
  • Degree in business, management, or supply chain required. Equivalent experience and a combination of acceptable education/certifications may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Purchasing or supply chain certification desired (APICS, ISM, etc).
