Role Summary:

The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and safety of all medical equipment across the hospital. The role involves equipment management, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with regulatory standards, supporting clinical teams in delivering efficient healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment, including calibration and testing.
• Maintain comprehensive records of equipment performance, service history, and compliance.
• Ensure all biomedical devices are functioning in accordance with manufacturer specifications and hospital safety protocols.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and warranty claims.
• Train clinical and non-clinical staff on proper usage and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Participate in hospital safety and quality audits related to medical devices.
• Monitor equipment lifecycle and support procurement decisions for replacement or upgrades.
• Ensure adherence to NABH, ISO, and other statutory regulatory requirements related to medical equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in hospital-based biomedical engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of medical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, imaging systems, etc.
• Familiarity with NABH and other healthcare accreditation standards.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and vendors.
• Proficient in using biomedical management software and MS Office tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,426.52 - ₹30,000.00 per month
