Supply Chain Executive – Sourcing

Role: Supply Chain Executive – Sourcing

Location: Bangalore (On-Site)

Industry: Nutraceutical / Supplement Manufacturing

Work Schedule: 5 Days a Week (Occasional extended hours during production urgency)

Reporting To: Production Manager

Role Objective

To ensure uninterrupted production operations by building a disciplined sourcing and procurement system that guarantees timely material availability, accurate lead-time planning, strong vendor coordination, and proactive risk mitigation — without compromising cost efficiency or quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Own and manage the end-to-end procurement cycle (Requirement Planning → RFQ → Negotiation → PO Release → Delivery → Payment Closure).
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors; develop alternate sourcing options to reduce dependency and supply risk.
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, credit terms, MOQs, contracts, and long-term rate agreements.
  • Drive continuous cost optimization initiatives while safeguarding production timelines and quality standards.
  • Build structured sourcing plans aligned with production forecasts and inventory norms.
  • Monitor raw material price trends and proactively recommend strategic buying decisions.

Coordination & Planning

  • Develop and maintain a structured lead-time tracking system to ensure visibility across all raw and packaging materials.
  • Ensure on-time material availability aligned with production schedules and batch plans.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to forecast requirements, align purchase planning, and avoid schedule disruptions.
  • Implement proactive follow-up mechanisms with vendors to eliminate last-minute shortages and emergency procurements.
  • Maintain buffer stock norms and reorder level discipline for critical materials.

Inventory & Monitoring

  • Conduct periodic inventory reconciliation, including physical stock verification, variance analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain strict reorder level and buffer stock discipline to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Monitor expiry-sensitive raw and packaging materials to minimize write-offs and prevent production risk.
  • Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory and recommend corrective procurement actions.
  • Ensure accurate GRN documentation and stock movement tracking within ERP/Sheets.

Reporting & Accountability

  • Track daily activity sheet
  • Maintain procurement tracking dashboards (Excel / Google Sheets / Notion preferred)
  • Submit monthly reports on cost savings, vendor performance, on-time delivery %, and stock-out incidents

Authority Level

  • Can independently negotiate with vendors
  • Can finalize vendor discussions
  • PO approval required for price changes or revised rates

Mandatory Requirements

  • 4–7 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement & supply chain within nutraceutical, pharma, or supplement manufacturing
  • Prior independent handling of sourcing & procurement cycle
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets
  • Process-disciplined and structured

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
