Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

In a nutshell

Small Lot Wine & Spirits is a rapidly growing wine and spirits importer and distributor. We import wine and spirits from 6 countries, have a portfolio of over 500 distinct products, and distribute to over 1200 liquor stores and restaurants in 3 states. In 2011 we were founded on a mission to bring family-owned, craft wine and spirits to every table—whether you’re looking to spend $10 or $100.

Smooth operations are a core value for us, and our employees are the foundation on which we are built. We are laser-focused on creating a frictionless experience for our customers from the moment they place an order to when the product lands on their floor. That’s where you come in! We are looking for a hard-working, fun, and responsible Supply Chain Manager to help us take over the (wine) world! Just kidding…. kind of ;)

We’re a small company, and proud of it! Being here means you’ll find yourself having regular conversations with C-level management and that your opinion matters. Do you see something that can be improved? We’re all ears. Being a rapidly growing company means we are constantly hiring and opening new positions. How you fit into the puzzle can change as your career grows with us.

At Small Lot, we believe that a diverse team is an innovative team and something worth celebrating. A range of perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment (not to mention more fun). We’re committed to equality and inclusivity across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience.

You’ll succeed with flying colors if you are strong in the following:

  • Strategic thinking
  • Hands-on execution ability
  • Systems fluency
  • Cross-functional leadership
  • Strong decision-making under ambiguity

You will also excel if you…

  • Enjoy owning both strategy and execution
  • Like turning complexity into clear systems
  • Are energized by solving inventory and logistics puzzles
  • Thrive in environments where accountability is clear and impact is measurable

If you were here last week, here’s what you might have done

  • Updated demand forecasts using the latest sales data and adjusted purchasing plans to reflect seasonal trends and recent sales velocity shifts.
  • Built and released the weekly reorder plan, including FTL and LTL shipments, ensuring MOQs were met while minimizing freight costs.
  • Created and dispatched purchase orders to suppliers and followed up on open POs with extended lead times.
  • Consolidated supplier orders to reduce freight spend while maintaining service levels.
  • Resolved a delayed shipment issue by coordinating between the vendor, carrier, and warehouse to protect customer availability.
  • Facilitated a short S&OP alignment discussion with Sales and Finance to reconcile forecast variances and promotional activity.
  • Updated product lifecycle data in the ERP for two new SKUs and one discontinuation, ensuring system accuracy across platforms.
  • Measured forecast accuracy for the prior month and identified where forecast bias occurred.
  • Updated supply chain KPI dashboards, including service level, inventory turns, freight cost per case, and forecast accuracy.
