THE ROLE
Own end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing for two growing frozen dessert brands. You’ll run production planning, co-packer oversight, procurement, inventory, logistics, and quality coordination. We want a ruthlessly detail-oriented operator who thrives autonomously in a remote setting, manages up crisply, and installs operational excellence through disciplined process and data analysis.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Production & Operations Planning
- Convert demand forecasts into executable weekly/monthly production plans.
- Maintain the master schedule; align capacity, materials, and labor to prevent stockouts/overbuild.
- Own Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, overrun/yield standards, and post-run variance analysis.
Co-packer & Plant Oversight
- Manage day-to-day with co-manufacturers: slotting, changeovers, approvals, and post-run reconciliations.
- Push on-time delivery performance; escalate risks early with options and tradeoffs.
Procurement & Suppliers
- Purchase ingredients and packaging; track price, lead times, and logistics.
- Maintain safety stocks, dual-source plans, and long-lead coverage.
- Drive documented cost savings without compromising quality.
Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics
- Keep Raw/Work-In-Progress/Finished Goods inventory accurate across frozen storage warehouses and 3PL freezers (cycle counts, expiration dates/code outs, lot traceability, etc.).
- Plan and dispatch shipments to frozen storage warehouses, distributors, and retail shops.
- Fulfill Purchase Orders from Distributors/Customers in timely manner, scheduling freight and managing customer expectations around the delivery
- Maintain clean item masters and location data.
Quality, Food Safety & Compliance
- Enforce specs/SOPs; coordinate Certificates of Authenticity (COAs), quality assurance processes, and corrective and preventative action practices with co-packers.
- Support compliance with food safety basics (allergens, sanitation, recalls, traceability, etc.).
Data, Systems & Reporting
- Build lightweight dashboards for forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, yield, COGS variance, inventory turns, and service level.
- Keep Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool, BOMs, and SKUs up-to-date and accurate; standardize naming and versions that are consistent across brands and SKUs.
- Send concise weekly updates that manage up with choices and implications.
Commercialization & Change Control
- Partner with Culinary Lead on new SKUs: spec lock, BOMs, vendor setup, costings, trials, launch readiness.
- Lead change control for ingredients/packaging; plan phase-ins/phase-outs and rework.
