Job Title: Supply Chain Manager / Procurement Specialist

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager/Procurement Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the company and the local supply chain, overseeing all procurement, sourcing, and contract management activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for field operations. This role is based full-time in the field office and is critical in maintaining operational continuity and fostering relationships with local vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for local suppliers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, purchase order management, and expediting deliveries.
  • Identify and develop relationships with qualified local suppliers to support field operations and optimize the local supply chain.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost and value targets.
  • Oversee contracts management, including drafting, reviewing, administration, and compliance monitoring.
  • Coordinate closely with field office staff and operations teams to assess needs and align procurement strategies with operational requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply issues, and drive continuous improvements in cost, delivery, and quality.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Support urgent and emergency sourcing needs with agility and effective problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management; oil & gas industry experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a field/remote office setting is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/tools.
  • Knowledge of local vendor network and sourcing best practices is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic field environment.

Location: Local to Wamsutter, WY

Compensation: $50-$100/hr (1099)
