Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager/Procurement Specialist serves as the primary liaison between the company and the local supply chain, overseeing all procurement, sourcing, and contract management activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for field operations. This role is based full-time in the field office and is critical in maintaining operational continuity and fostering relationships with local vendors.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for local suppliers, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, purchase order management, and expediting deliveries.

Identify and develop relationships with qualified local suppliers to support field operations and optimize the local supply chain.

Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost and value targets.

Oversee contracts management, including drafting, reviewing, administration, and compliance monitoring.

Coordinate closely with field office staff and operations teams to assess needs and align procurement strategies with operational requirements.

Monitor supplier performance, resolve supply issues, and drive continuous improvements in cost, delivery, and quality.

Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports for audit and compliance purposes.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Support urgent and emergency sourcing needs with agility and effective problem-solving.
Qualifications

Experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management; oil & gas industry experience preferred.

Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills.

Experience working in a field/remote office setting is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/tools.

Knowledge of local vendor network and sourcing best practices is an asset.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic field environment.

$50-$100/hr (1099)
