JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager role is responsible for translating Ballast Point’s sales forecasts into executable production and purchasing plans across multiple manufacturers, suppliers, and 3PL partners. This role owns demand forecasting, inventory planning, purchase order management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and cost.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Maintain rolling demand forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual) by SKU, brand, and channel
- Translate sales forecasts into production and procurement requirements
- Analyze historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and distributor trends
- Reconcile forecast vs. actuals and continuously improve forecast accuracy
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Convert demand plans into supply plans across contract manufacturers and co-packers
- Establish and maintain safety stock, reorder points, and lead-time assumptions
- Monitor inventory levels across breweries, warehouses, and 3PLs
- Identify and mitigate risks related to stockouts and/or overproduction
- Support S&OP processes with inventory and capacity insights
Procurement & Purchasing
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders for finished goods, packaging, and key raw materials
- Coordinate ordering timelines with suppliers and manufacturers based on lead times and MOQs
- Track open POs and follow up on delays, shortages, or discrepancies
Reporting & Systems
- Maintain planning tools, spreadsheets, and ERP data integrity
- Build dashboards for demand, inventory, and procurement KPIs
- Support ERP improvements and planning process enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years experience in demand planning, supply planning, procurement, or supply chain
- Strong Excel and ERP experience
- Experience in the alcohol/brewery space preferred
- Experience with CPG, contract manufacturing and 3PLs preferred
Compensation:
Starting salary: $78,000-$85,000
The actual rate of pay is dependent upon many factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
