The Supply Chain Manager II is responsible for leading and optimizing the supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with program and company goals. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Continuously improve the supply base to support program and business area requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic material plans and forecasts to align with program demands.
- Partner with executive management, program management, and other departments to ensure supply chain activities meet company objectives.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues.
- Lead the discovery and implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Establish, track, and communicate key performance indicators to ensure supply chain visibility and goal achievement.
- Prepare and manage capital, contract equipment, and facility requests to meet program and company demands.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 9+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management.
- Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
- Excellent negotiations skills.
- Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
- Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
- Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in using a computer for extended periods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Regular travel may be required for supplier visits and audits.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $130,442.85 - $179,358.93. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
