Supply Chain Planner

Come Join our 100% employee owned company! The Supply Chain Planner will help coordinate raw materials and packaging items from vendors to manufacturing locations. Responsibilities will include planning and organizing the replenishment process for the production plan, while maintaining inventory within safety stock levels. This is a key role that will support the global supply chain sourcing raw materials and packaging materials for Fritz Industries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·Submits PO’s to approved suppliers for raw materials and packaging items

·Analyze current inventory, current demand, and forecasts, assuring that material is on order and scheduled to arrive prior to production demand

·Maintains PO’s in ERP system, as needed

·Monitors inventory levels of raw materials and packaging items

·Maintains safety stocks, min-max levels and reordering points

·Sources new suppliers for raw materials and packaging items

·Coordinates inbound logistics

·Resolves issues with suppliers such as invoices, shortages/overages, quality, and delays

·Prepare reports concerning supply chain operations

·Perform research activities in order to identify new solutions for logistical challenges

·Works closely with sales and production departments on forecasting and scheduling

·Reviews daily inbound orders and analyzes inventory demand

·Analyzes landed costs and inventory turns on a quarterly basis

Required Qualifications:

·Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

·Strong oral and written communication skills

·Ability to analyze situations and support business decision making

·Ability to prioritize and organize in a very fast paced environment

·Time management skills and understanding of priorities and task completion timelines

·Problem Solving skills and math skills

·Willingness to learn

·Packaging sourcing for retail sales, plastics/boxing a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree

·3-5 years of experience of working in a supply chain / purchasing environment

·Experience working with ERP Systems, esp. SYSPRO

·Experience in both domestic and international logistics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
