Supply Chain Planner (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic supply chain team where you will play a meaningful role in shaping how products move from raw materials to end customers. In this position, you will support the development and execution of both forward and reverse supply plans, working under the guidance of senior team members to ensure service levels, costs, and inventory positioning are continuously optimized. You will perform supply and demand analysis, including what-if scenario modeling, and collaborate closely with suppliers and cross-functional partners to align on build plans, manage raw material planning, and address excess inventory challenges. This role offers a strong foundation for growth, with opportunities to contribute to process automation, dashboard development, and operational improvements that drive real business impact.
Job Responsibilities:
Utilize supply chain tools to streamline operations and reduce manual labor requirements
Build and maintain dashboards, interpret data, and conduct root cause analysis to support inventory and supply decisions
Contribute to process automation initiatives and support system scalability efforts
Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure priorities are clearly defined and executed
Communicate updates, risks, and escalations to relevant stakeholders in a timely and clear manner
Assist in raw material planning, product transitions, and last-time buy execution
Support buffer strategies and excess inventory mitigation efforts
Collaborate on rework and redeployment of goods as needed
Contribute to planning strategies that balance service levels, cost, and inventory under conditions of demand uncertainty
Support material transfers and inventory alignment across the supply network
Begin to design solutions for demand shifts and inventory adjustments
Partner with suppliers to resolve constraints and align on build plans
Monitor supplier capacity, compliance, and performance metrics
Support mid-term capacity planning and investment alignment discussions
Analyze supply and demand scenarios and support contingency planning activities
Help develop and execute supply plans in coordination with factories and logistics partners
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, operations, sourcing, or manufacturing
Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis, including interpreting large or complex data sets
Minimum 4 years of experience in supplier operations or logistics management
Minimum 4 years of experience in order fulfillment processes and execution
Experience with supply planning tools, analytics platforms, and supplier collaboration is strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field with relevant professional experience, OR
Master's degree in a related field, OR
Equivalent combination of education and professional experience
Agility: Ability to quickly process and adapt to new information in a fast-paced environment
Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement enhancements to products, processes, or services
Detail Orientation: Strong commitment to accuracy and completeness in documentation and data management
Data Analysis: Ability to interpret complex data sets to inform supply chain decisions and identify trends or gaps
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Problem Solving: Ability to evaluate issues and develop actionable, practical solutions
Financial Acumen: Ability to apply basic financial analysis to assess supply chain effectiveness

Pay Range*: $41 - $46.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
Job Status: Non-Exempt
